I suppose they're welcome to. Hollywood royally screwed up the DBZ live action movie.

I wonder why in hell Disney gave them the rights to use the character that way?

Moved. I can assure you it's through no desire to piss you off. This topic has nothing to do with SatAM, its only barely even about Sonic. You've made a loose reference in one sentence. Ditch your attitude please.
And no snarky comments or otherwise will be accepted from anyone about this. This doesn't need to be blown out of all proportion. You don't need to comment on this amazingly minor 'issue', stick to the topic please people. Thank you.
Anyway, back on topic, I'd say the Prof is right. Its got Disney branding all over it, I'd say this is a move by them to branch out to a wider audience.
Honestly, I was left wondering more about the Subaru logo at the end of the opening credits. I know things were rough for them lately but I didn't think things were that bad.

...Yeah, this really isn't much worse than that PowerPuff Z show from a while back. And it probably doesn't offend me as much given that as good as the original movie was, the TV spinoff kind of blew chunks to begin with.
The fact that this exists doesn't really surprise me either. IIRC, Stitch is actually an insanely popular character over in Japan. It makes sense that Disney would take notice and milk it for all it's worth.

I remember seeing Sanrio-styled Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh on stickers and purses and stuff, and a manga series about Disney Princessessess too, not to mention Kingdom Hearts. They're getting mad buxx for Disney crap in Japan, so an anime series is a good investment.

Alright first of all.. It was Tokyo Disney that did it. Meaning... DISNEY STILL DID IT! If you want to blame anyone blame Disney its self, because they were the creators still!
Secondly, I don't see the big deal. To me its just fucking Stitch.. Maybe cause I was no die hard fan but I mean.. It is at least still done in American Animation for the most part. At least they didn't go anime on its ass.

But seriously... It's Japan... I'm not Japanese... Why should I care what they do media-wise?

I'm not following you there. Disillusioned weeaboos are hardly a new phenomenon, and the same can be said for Japanese reimaginings of foreign franchises.
Because we like to laugh at crazy Japanese crap. :B

I used to know someone who wrote Powerpull Girls pr0n. He did Ed, Edd and Eddy crossovers with them, too. He thought he was being brilliant because there was no other EE+E lemon out there. It never occurred to him to wonder why, though.

Most of them probably only do it for the lulz, anyway. At least, that's what I tell myself so I can sleep at night.
