@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

It finally happened. I know I'm in an extreme minority but I was a fan of the show for it's entire run, not just the 1st season, & the newest season so far looks to one of the best (it's kinda like if James Cameron made PR). Oh well.

Bit of a PR person meself, but I can't say I'm terribly bothered to see it go. I'm sure the franchise itself will continue, and the last few seasons have been rather underwhelming.

Kind of glad to see it go honestly. There is nothing worse than beating a dead horse.... unless that horse was somewhat responsible for the lack of a third season of a certain show. It was a good show back in the day, but how did it last this long? Anyways all this is just my opinion, not trying to bash the show.

I think I left enough for you guys. I'm sorry, I liked the first season as a kid, but I never forgave the ABC Children's Department after canceling SatAM Sonic, THEN realizing that ABC picked PR over SatAM Sonic.

I don't mean to sound like a dick but I'm kinda glad PR is finally cancelled. I never liked this show for as long as I can remember (15 years).

I was never really a fan of it, nor did I really watch it much. So I guess I'm apathetic to the cancellation. It would bother me (or make me happy) as much as cancelling Sonic X - not much at all. Unlike alot of you, PR was not a replacement for SatAM here. That was the job of Saturday Disney, which is still running. Now if that show was cancelled it would satisfy a long time hatred that I have for the show ever since I turned on the TV at 7:30am to find Sonic missing. I wouldn't go partying about it, but it would be satisfying to see it burn.

Why didn't anyone ever just punch him in his completely exposed brain (for great justice!) and get it over with? Then again judging by the chrome "Z" on top of his not-at-all-phallic rod, maybe they figured the elements were already giving him braindamage and they might as well just wait it out? (Like with* Regan, Oohh snap!) Still, if that's the *height* of villan for your program <.< ...

UGH!!!! I fucking hate that Wilhelm Scream. I hear that in just about every goddamn movie and show. (Dante's Peak and DOA are two I can think of at the moment). Why don't people use THEIR screams? =/

Yikes, just reading this reminded me that it was even still going.

As cheesy as it was, the first couple seasons were what made the show, and you get why it trounced our hedgehog at the time, whether you liked it or not. Still, you can only milk a franchise so far, but a damn good job of milking it was.

Farewell, Rangers. The power sure did protect you.

I was wondering when someone would catch that.

I'll tell you exactly why sound editors still use the Wilhelm Scream... so people can react like you just did. They know it's overused and distracting from the movie, so it's play more of a joke in a modern film than it is played for anything else.

Gotta say I couldn't feel more indifferent to this if I tried. I mean sure, when I see the name Power Rangers and hear it's been canceled it almost gives me a sad nostalgic feeling, but it really is nothing like the Power Rangers I grew up with and that's been gone since they stopped making Mighty Morphin' and moved on to whatever the hell the second one was. And even when I was a Power Rangers fan I was never a fan of the other series.

I remember the first time I saw the original MMPR intro in years, which was a couple of years ago.

Zordon: Alpha! Rita's escaped! Recruit a team of teenagers with attitudes!
Me: Yeah, that would have been my first thought too.

That sums up my thoughts about Power Rangers now. It actually seemed genuinely cool back then, but now I see that it was cheesier than a cheese factory.

I did see the Power Rangers movie (I went with my mother, who must have thought it was the most retarded thing ever, but she never said anything about it), but that was probably around when I stopped watching the show regularly. In fact, I don't think I even knew about Lord Zedd until I saw the movie... I could be wrong, though. I know that Lord Zedd becoming the main villain was the "jump the shark" moment for me, although looking back at it, I can't imagine why I picked that particular thing to bug me.

One odd thing from the show I remember... I recall Bulk & Skull addressing a Power Ranger (at school, of course) with "Hey, dickhead!". I turned to my cousin and said, "Did he just say 'dickhead'?" And my cousin said, "Yeah, so what?" I still find it hard to believe that you could say "dickhead" on network TV, especially in such a children-oriented series. I wonder if somehow we both misheard...?
