Radical 70's PG rated animated War/Sci-fi fantasy epic from Ralph Bakshi! a post-apocalyptic flick about fairies and elves battling mutant creatures as two powerful wizard brothers battles against each other.
The film is quite exciting and action packed with gory animated violence, grand battlescenes, a nice storyline and some good animation for it's time. There's even a sexy half-naked fairy chick named Ellinore guaranteed to please the guys. I remembered in 1988 when i was about 6 years old when i lived in Omaha, my big brothers rented the movie and i watched it with them and i couldn't believe what i was seeing such as bloody animated carnage, fairies getting killed, and some brief nudity as it nearly messed with my mind.
This movie influenced "Fist of the North Star" big time.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Bakshi's. While I'm all for animated movies that deviate from the mold, most of his films just feel nonsensical and pointless. Still, to its credit, Wizards did have Fritz.

Well i thought this is one of his best along with "American Pop" and "Fire and Ice" in terms of storytelling. And who can't resist the sexy Elinore? Bakshi knows how to make hot toon women.
