@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

So. We're being evicted from my apartment....

My boyfriend/SO had this cool gig, but then his boss found out he was gay, then recisinded on a lot of deals. We're left up shits creek without a paddle. We may or may not have a place to go.

So, Site Updates are on hold indefinitly until life clears up for me.

If you want to help keep the site up and, to be perfectly honest, help me.. Donate to RockyCoon@gmail.com via PayPal, or click the button in the bottom right corner. I'm not begging for money here at all, just, I may not be around to tend to ANYTHING.

I have no clue as to how long I will be gone. It could be a few days... could be a few months, could be a year.

I'm sorry for this just...god, nothing I can do about it. You'll have until Friday to let me know anything personally, after that... well... I don't know...

~Rocky

Lemme see if I've got this straight: your boyfriend got fired for being Gay?

Fuck. That. Shit.

I'm really, REALLY sorry to hear all this bad news coming down your way, Rocky. Hopefully something'll come up to help you out...either way, I wish you and your boyfriend the absolute best of luck with the future.

I am SO SORRY to hear all this man. It seems like some people are still ass backwards on somethings. I never understood how people can be so stupid. I mean, being who he is does not effect the world he lives in, so why reconsider his work? I just don't get it. Well, I wish you the best of luck man. Things should work out, somehow.

I am very sorry to hear that. It sucks that we live in a country were people can't respect others. Best of luck to you, I can't imagine what your going through.

Don't you have any kind of anti-discrimination laws? I doubt that reasoning would suffice here.

American federal antidiscrimination laws do not protect sexual orientation, if I remember correctly. There might be some sort of state law, depending upon the state of residence. At any rate, although Rocky's partner may want to consult a lawyer, having a legal claim is not much help when one needs food & shelter right now.

Good luck, Rocky; we're all pulling for you.

We live in the deep south where theres more chruches than schools if you know what I mean.

So theres probably no hope for any kinda 'legal action'.

Have you ever considered moving to another state? This is just a wild suggestion. I just wish that people could be more understanding, or at least see how being gay does nothing to hurt anyone.

Oh my God - what an inconsiderate fucker your SO's would-be employer was. I mean, discrimination is one thing, but refusing somebody work? Especially now, when jobs are like gold dust. Good luck, both of you. And I'd consider moving somewhere more liberal if that's at all possible.

D: that's horrible I'm so sorry man. I hope this can mean a better new start for you somehow. To hell with those homophobic bastards, fuck'em, is moving to another state or more hospitable place an option? I hope so man *hugs* I know you're going to get through it. And I hope anyone here who can help does so, however they can, after all the time effort and love you've put into this site just for us, and just because you're an awesome person.

You know sexual discrimination is pretty big, I think if you talked to a few lawyers I sure youll find quite a few who are confident to not ask for court costs up front. If you guys have some proof to the supervisor being discriminating you guys could win it.

But anyway, I hope things turn up better for you both.

As much as I wish he could do the same, I think he may run into some problems. To my recollection only 12-13 states recognize sexual orientation as a viable discrimination case, which is dumb because its discrimination no matter how you cut it. I also remember non of them being in the south. This is not say it can't be done, he would set precedent by doing so, but with no existing laws in the states code it would near impossible.
