@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Hello Everyone! This is just a state of the site update. It's almost the end of 2008, and I want to show you what happend, aswell as what will hapen in the upcoming year.

This year, the site got a first make over, to a nice, new design that allowed me to cram a lot of new sections in without having a bar on the side that extended into infinity. The Episode Guide was added with a rating system, the DVD Quality Screen Cap section was finished, The Fanfiction was made automated. We also saw a new, shorter and sweeter URL and a better site design that was pleasing and pleaseant to the eyes than before, with it's soft browns and dark blue, aswell as a Rules rewrite that made it less 'tl;dr'.

This upcoming year, a small archie comic section will be added, as we recognize Archie as a vauge continuance of SatAM, not as THE Continuance, but one of many possible ones that may, or may not come. I'm sure most of us would LOVE to see a 'new SatAM' TV show...and While it's no means a perfect comic (But which comic is?), and has deviated from it's SatAM-like quality, theres still issues to look back on and go 'Hey' I remember that, that was cool, for even the die-hard SatAM-only fanatics.

We will also see an addition of a 'Polls' section on the main site here soon, as soon as I find and discover a good polling script that isn't some bravenet freehost one, because... well, most of what I am finding seems to be garbage in that respect.

The end of this year also saw 'chief-aid', in which we gathered a resounding //1,500// dollars for forum head, chief, who got into a tight spot, and being a single dad, that stunk. We, and I, still thank you for all your generosity.

So there you have it. What happend, whats going on, and how it's going to happen. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to respond.

That's some nice pats on the back there mate. Though, would you really call a URL difference of one letter 'shorter and sweeter'? Don't positive spin yourself too hard there mate, you might fall off your chair.

Any details of what is planned for the Archie section? Character sheets, random issue synopsis, maybe details on how it strayed from the satAM style into it's own continuity?

I could provide some (I'd say all, but the break is only a few weeks, give me enough time though...) of that now that I'm on break and have my complete collection handy.

Yeah, the Archie Section will contain an issue guide, with a synposis of the main story, a name of any side story, along with the artist / Letterers / Editiors, etc for each issues, aswell as page scans from each issues of choice pages. (No Full Issue Scans, however, unless I can get ahold of a scan of the 'free comic book days' ones or something.)

I have someone working on the synopsises (RingTailedFox), I need someone to aquire a few good pages from every issue they can.. (including things like Mini-series, etc.)

and yeah, there will be a Satam Vs. Archie - Differences section.... where they were different, where they stopped being so similar, and such things like that.

Also, folks may have noticed the new ads. I like these ads. People bid on the ad spot. and the ads are things you'd click--- like for webcomics, browser based games... and other such things. It's not making a whole lot, but it's making more daily than the Google Adsense did. (like.. .50 cents for 5 days right now this moment, as opposed to .03 cents a week if I was lucky, and being things you would'nt click--- click 'Sonic Payday Loans' (WTF...))

and there you go!

Glad to see things coming along. I hope you find another roomate soon, Rocky. BTW, before you leave I never found out how you learned of FUS and why you became it's new owner? Did someone have the topic for that?
