@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Chief-Aid has ended a few days earlier than intended, this comes due to a LOT of generous, awesome people.

And the final result? an Estimated //1,500 Canadian Dollars Total// Went to Chief-Aid. This includes the DVD Sales Conversion Esitamte. That Blew the expected amount of '400' out of the water, folks, you guys are awesome. I'm sure Chief will be posting a thank you in this topic.

And I Thank you! Folks who submitted a rank image should have them, and if not, resubmit it to RockyCoon@satamfans.com. You may submit a Rank Image at any time in the future if you have not done so yet.

Alright so... I'm bad with writing so I'll get to the point. This shouldn't be any huge post.

Back when this started I actually had no idea that Rocky would do this. In fact when I first saw the topic 'Chief-Aid' I was confused and had no idea what it would be about. But with reading the topic I found out that Rocky was trying to start up a little donation run, and I was quite touched.

I think Ratty put it best in his post saying "Chief would never ask for this" And to be honest I wouldn't. I'm not fond of asking people for money, or borrowing money.. Pride and such on. However with a few events that went on and I was left asking money from a few friends just to make rent.. And asking money from my certain people just to get food for Brooke.

I got laid off around the start of November, and with winter coming my town slows right down. 90% of construction stops, as well as.. well a lot of things, making it the hardest season to find work.

Alright but enough of that.. Onto the donation drive.

I'll be honest.. I wasn't aware of how much money tha this would bring in.. I was hoping for 80 bucks or so and hell that alone would be awesome. Well.. a hour into the run it came out that there was about 200 USD already donated.. I was shocked. And the donations kept coming in.

I don't know who all donated, as all of it went through Rocky's paypal except for John who sent it to mine.

However... I would like to thank everyone who donated money. I wish I could do more.. I mean.. A simple 'Thank You' just doesn't seem enough. I know a lot of people are in hard times right now.. And yet you all still sent money my way. Again thank you. I know a lot of people who I don't even talk to must have sent money.. And I thank you as well.

Ive been a member on FUS for years.. When asked to donate, FUS called and members tossed money into the donation drive. I have never met a single one of you in real life, and Only really talk to and got to know the people who are in the chat.

To sum this all up.. Thank you. I don't know what else to say or do, I wish I could do more.. But thank you.

I would to note, I am not releasing identies of folks who donated, since they may wish to remain anonymous.

I will let them come forward with who they are, and what they donated.

Does that 1500 CAD include what I sent ya, Paul? Cause if not, then, shit yeah, lots of stressless sleeps coming your way. And a new pony, and a plastic rocket.

Hope it all gets you out of the shit, my friend, until you're up and able again. Look after that baby girl of yours 'cause that's what it's all about. :] *Manly hugs*

Yea, it covers what you sent as well. I think after the money for the DVD's arrive its going to be around 1520 to 1530, depending on exchange rate at he time.

..And don't grope me... That's for Bleak

Yeah... don't get me started on that bloody exchange rate. Would have been a full thousand otherwise. Better than the Yank's dollar that would have dumped it down to 700 or so.

And I'll grope whomever I damn well wish. You just remember that.

Chief, I would like to wish you the best of luck in hard times like these. I was surprised on the total amount that it all added up to, and I know that you'll be using that money wisely. So, best of luck, and I hope that the rest of this year, as well as the coming New Year will be joyful for you.

It brings a new (and completely unrelated) meaning to the "Yank tank."

Good luck chief, and anyone else finding it hard to make ends meet.

Yea, seems like a good sum to get. Maybe this should be made into a story, or something that shows how good giving can be. Well...maybe not a story, but this is a good thing no matter what.

Wow, even I wasn't expecting a sum like that. Great to see that the community can pull together to help one of its own! I wish you luck this winter Chief and hope you can find a new job real soon.
