And I know this isn't really board related, but i've been trying to use the IRC channel for days now and i'm just not getting anywhere. I downloaded mIRC because in the few seconds I managed to stay connected before I got booted it was suggested that those with clients have fewer problems. So i've got mIRC now, (a trial version anyway) and still i'm having issues. It should be noted that i've never IRCed before, so perhaps a tutorial is in order. But really any help would be appreciated.

Not sure I know what problem you're having exactly, but I can give a little guide in getting (and staying) connected on the channel using what I use.
First off fuck the trial version of IRC programs off, you can get the freeware version of X-chat2 that won't annoy you with 'purchase me now, watch me how' bullshit messages.

Open it up and do the following:
-Find the 'Xchat' drop down menu at the top left corner (next to 'View')
-Server list
-In the new window that pops up you will need to click 'Add'.
-In the new highlighted area type in Tetraq.
-Ensuring Tetraq is highlighted, click on edit to open a new window.
-The top area where it says newserver/6667, delete this and put in irc.Tetraq.2y.net/6667
-Under the heading 'Connecting' tick the first box for 'Auto connect to this network at startup', and in the field below for 'channels to join' type in #satam.
-Very important that you click the 'close' button at the bottom otherwise Xchat will not save the changes you have just made.
-Back to the server list window making sure you filled in the 'nick name' field up the top, and again click 'close' at the bottom to save your work.
-Shut down Xchat completely and then restart it. It will now automatically take you straight into the #satam channel with your chosen nick name.

Thanks for the Help John. I kinda figured it would be one of you guys to help out. Anyone know what's going on with From the Dark? PM me about it. I'm gonna get right on that and if your advice works i'm locking/deleting the topic.
