@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

[s:3koohnny]Hey Guys. If you have'nt read it yet , go read this: viewtopic.php?t=1214

Secondly... Chief, or 'chief' as you see him on the forums, is the board admin of FUS. He's a nice guy. Sadly. Chief is in a bit of a spot, IRL. He got laid off and what a terrible season for it, and has a daughter to care for. So. I'm starting 'chief-Aid', the idea being to collect as much as possible, to paypal to chief who will then put it into his Bank account, to use on the needed things in life.

Here is what you do, and how you will, as a FUS member, benefit.

#1.) Paypal RockyCoon@gmail.com (or click the Donate Button at the bottom right of the main page.). All Donations from this point forward will be considered 'chief-aid' donations.

#2.) Donating anything above 5 dollars gets you a rank image of your submission. This is a image you send that is no bigger than 150 x 40 (Can be smaller.), and will appear under your name from this point forward on the forums. YOU SEND The Rank Image you want to: RockyCoon@satamfans.com, with the Subject Title: FUS - Rank Image. Please tell me the amount you donated, and your name, so you can properly be thanked. You will need to provide your own made Rank Image. These look like this, and are some examples from other members: They will be added as I get them, rather in 'one lump', as a showing of Gratitude for your Selflessness.

#3.) Money will be sent to Chief in one lump sum, by the 18th of December, or when a High Sum i s Reached.

Chief is a nice guy, and helped FUS by making the biggest donation when I called out, and now I wish to help him like this. Please. Donate! (and earn a nifty rank image of your submission!)[/s:3koohnny]

Chief-Aid has come to a close. See the more recent news post.

I am sincerely going to look into my finances and see what I can give, remember guys Chief is our friend, we can't just say "Oh the other members will donate."
You and I both know that Chief is a proud fellow, rightfully so, and he would never ask for this, but he needs our help and this is where we show that we belong in that boat of friendship stormy weather or clear. Because friends help each other out when they can. Again I don't know how much I can spare right now, but I'll look/check, I hope you all do as well. Chief is a nice guy, he didn't ask for all this shit to just hit him but it did, and same thing could happen to any of us. So therefor it's not with pity that I ask those of you who can give to do so, we do not pity Chief, we just see a friend who's had some trouble and needs a hand. We've enjoyed his company and he's done his best to aid the community, c'mon guys, even if it's not a lot that you can spare, let's all give one for the Chief'er! (erg hope he doesn't mind being associated with a R. Reagan character/hurt meh xD, sorry, my innate corniness there)

But if you're in on it, you can make it." - Vincent Price

Sent some money, I only wish I could do more. Maybe I could give him my $200 stipend next week?

Only if you want to man. We're not pulling teeth here, and already people are VERY generous. (it hasn't even been more than a few hours and it's already a triple digit begining with a '2'.)

Maybe like 50 / 25 dollars of it? But not all dude, remember, not pulling teeth!

I have sent some money, but being a university student with a part time job that doesn't pay me in the right month, I can't afford much.

Chief seems to be having a rough time since he was named head admin. It never ceases to amaze me how low humanity can sink this time of year and this year seems especially bad. I'm afraid I'm not fairing much better myself as I might even have to give up internet soon.

I don't think you need to be 18 for a paypal account. You just need a bank account.

I just wanted to tell you that the hardest thing I've faced
Wasn't the teasing or the pain
It was convincing myself I wasn't stupid, strange, or lame
And helping others do the same.

Paypal regulations differ between countries. I was under the impression that the US didn't have an age restriction but I can't remember for certain.

I'm going to lose $200 dollars from a $500 donation because of the wonderful fucking lousy exchange rate between the aussie dollar and the US. So, uh, screw your paypal, Rocky, does Paul have his own? (The Canadian dollar is much higher)

I just donated $10 dollars today, and hope that Chief will have a great holiday season, and I wish him the best of luck in these tough times.

You know, I could take the risk and snail mail some money over for the Chief-aid. Just tell me what currency to send it as and which address to send it to.
