@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Well we are going to be re-designing FUS in the near future I figured I should ask all of you.. What forums do you want?

Now obviously this is a Sonic SatAM forum, and this is our main. Followed by the adding of the comic, as feed back seems to be good on this. No date set on when exactly this will be though.

However we want to turn over a new leaf in the Board. Some current forms will be merged together, such as the Sonic Games and General Game board. This will be done to reduce clutter on here.

What I am asking you is what do you also want to discuss or see? Now obviously we can not add a bunch of Forums in as that will just be a cluttered mess. Probably only 1 or 2 if we do. But what would you like to see?

Ive already had some people come up to me and ask if we could have a Web Comic Forum. Just a place that would fall under General Discussion, where people could post web comics, reviews, discussion on those said comics, whatever.

This idea was just one of the many I have been told about. Now, as I said obviously we can not add in a lot of forums.. Only 1 or 2, probably only 1.

So give me your ideas people. These are your forums, what do you want to see?

Kinda blurting this out here. Might have more thoughts later.

A question we could ask is who should be allowed to write season 3 and 4. It would be nice if Ben could outline some ideas and hand it over to FUS if he never finds the time to continue. Everyone else knows better on how to continue the show with our own comic. With a website dedicated to it years after the fact and it seeing some volume is a testament to the greatness of the show.

Who knows what can be added to Sonic SatAM. Some of the fanfics out there are better than season 1 episodes of the show itself imo and maybe season 2. Some even stand on their own and better in some ways I hate to admit.

I say we merge the vents, the pointless pointlessness, the funny stuff and the controversial issues forum together into one general discussion forum. I say we also get rid of TIL.

We are already planning a Merge for a few forum together.

And as far as the Season 3 thing... One it has nothing to do with this topic really (from what I can tell) and 2 we have a extreamly good writer already. Anything else you have regarding this I would say bring it up in the S3 Forum. I do not run/or have anything to do with the comic.

Aw, shucks, thanks. ^///^

Anyway, that webcomic idea sounds neat to me. Maybe we could also add a "SatAM Watch" section somewhere, a place where people can report day-to-day sightings of SatAM things on the internet or in real life, and also give shout-outs to SatAM references they find on other websites. Just throwin' that thought out there. happy.gif

I think thats a fine idea, but we have to ask ourselves how many sightings do we really see? Is it enough to justify a whole section?

Well that's just a example... If you want a section for anything say it..If not enough interest in anything there will be no new forum.

I'll second this. TIL rarely gets more than birthdays anyway. Perhaps we could just have a general birthdays sticky.

I like the Birthday sticky idea. I remember correctly, there is one month where we have a lot. This will save space.

I think it is August.. The month with all the birthdays.

And actually, that is one of the best ideas yet, for avoiding clutter, and its bloody simple.

A sound plan, and makes logical sense to save space.

I disagree. I think it's in everyone's best interests to keep the drama confined to Vents and Controversial Issues. And have normal, non-drama induced conversation in pointless pointlessness.

Generally a good rule of thumb for a forum is to have the Vents, Rants, Raves, whatever you want to call them, in their own separate section. Sort of a "what happens in the vents stays in the vents" kinda philosophy.

Here's what I would do, maybe just worded differently:

Site Stuffs:
News
Suggestions and Help
Intros/Goodbyes

Sonic Corner:
SatAM Chat
Archie Chat/reviews
Any other Sonic stuff

Other Stuff:
General Discussion
Creative Works
Media Headquarters (Games and movies ect)
A spam forum if you want one
Trash Bin

But that's just me

I agree with the idea of merging stuff into a general area. That would make it a lot easier to keep track of topics and would work better for those of us with slower connections (having to keep returning to the board index takes about 1/4 of my time here). However, I also agree with the idea of keeping the more more volitile topic sections seperate from the general area. I don't see any reason why venting and rants couldn't share space with contriversial topics, though. Let all the hostility and drama be confined to a single area and spare the other topics from having to deal with it.

Projection: If Intruder Organsim reaches civilized areas...
