@  Wulfsbane : (09 September 2019 - 10:12 AM)

We'll probably see Tracer soon

@  Shadow : (06 September 2019 - 10:48 PM)

I'd rather see Mai in Smash

@  Wulfsbane : (06 September 2019 - 09:05 AM)

I'm more surprised about the Fatal Fury character.

@  Wulfsbane : (06 September 2019 - 08:00 AM)

Really wasn't keen on the idea of Sans being playable, but I guess he's in the same vein as Ness/Lucas

@  Wulfsbane : (06 September 2019 - 08:00 AM)

I think it works.

@  GamemasterAn... : (05 September 2019 - 06:53 AM)

So...Sans is a Mii Gunner costume for Smash. Comments?

@  Wulfsbane : (31 August 2019 - 08:00 PM)

Alright, AEW's All Out was pretty freaking good.

@  Wulfsbane : (20 August 2019 - 06:22 AM)

The Knux will Layeth the Smacketh Down all over your Candy Ass!

@  GamemasterAn... : (20 August 2019 - 05:59 AM)

"Finally, the Knux...HAS COME BACK...to Angel Island!"

@  Wulfsbane : (19 August 2019 - 07:26 PM)

Strangely I can see it.

@  Shadow : (18 August 2019 - 10:39 PM)

Imagine Dwayne Johnson voicing Knuckles...

@  Wulfsbane : (17 August 2019 - 02:31 PM)

The Rock has come back? XP

@  chief : (17 August 2019 - 02:26 PM)

@  Wulfsbane : (17 August 2019 - 07:40 AM)

Good to hear.

@  chief : (13 August 2019 - 07:27 PM)

We are in talk with background artists actually...

@  Shadow : (13 August 2019 - 12:54 AM)

some traditional cel painted backgrounds would be lovely.

@  Shadow : (13 August 2019 - 12:54 AM)

Is their any plans on what might be added if the budget reaches a certain quota?

@  wildfire : (13 August 2019 - 12:05 AM)

Just saw the preview for Sea3son animated. It looks awesome! Voices are great. I only wish I had money to support.

@  wildfire : (12 August 2019 - 11:30 PM)

Glad to see this place is still bustling. I went through my old comics last night, made me think of you all. I miss this place sometimes.

In his poem, Antoine claims he would lay down his life for Sally. In your opinion, would he? If so, what would it take?

Depends.

Season 1 Antoine, totally.  He's a coward, but he is still there, still fighting, still trying to help even if he's a bit incompetent.

Season 2 Antoine....eh...probably not.  He's a bit more ....unstable?  He became more goofy and in turn even less competent and seems less actively trying to help.

I think Antoine would be the sort of bodyguard who would jump away from whoever he's guarding when the bullets start flying.

I'm with you.  There is a big difference between S1 and S2 Antoine.

If he got the same character development he had in the comics, then yeah.

I don't think he could even if he wanted to. That would make him brave.

I dunno. Antoine was a coward in the show but he was still brave enough to put himself in the front line of battle at any given opportunity (even if he wasn't of much help). If given the chance to prove his loyalty to the princess, sacrificing his own life would seem like something he would do. He would hesitate, no doubt, but his devotion to her could probably offset that obstacle.

I think Season 2 overemphasized his cowardiance  to the point that he would be all talk no action.  If we remembered from Season 1 "Hooked on Sonic," Antoine was brave enough to face Robotnik alone and showed tremendous concern and regret for his actions in giving Robotnik the power ring.  In season 2 "Spyhog'" Antoine did save Sal's life instinctively, but later on he was on the verge of revealing Knothole's location to Snively due to MARGARINE!  If season 3 would have happened (or in our own sea3on), I'm certain his cowardiance would have some better development as the story would have been more concise and dramatic.  I believe Antoine would have laid his life down for Sal, but season 2 did a terrible job at displaying his character and downgraded him to pretty much a comedy relief.

The Most High God created this world we live in, and He created man in His image for Himself.  Whether we like it or not doesn't change the truth nor does it change the consequences.

I often can't help but wonder if Antoine's Flanderization in the 2nd season was the result of network executives and/or focus groups. I mean, he got four segmented episodes focused entirely around him and his antics, which is something I recall Hurst or some other staff member stating was a command they couldn't refuse.

It wouldn't be the first show produced by DIC that was forced by the ABC executives to become more "kid-friendly". The "Real Ghostbusters" suffered a similar fate with its later seasons, having to take on a more lighthearted tone and make their comic-relief character the bigger focus of the series.

Yeah, maybe. That happens sometimes... the execs at Fox loved Elmyra in Tiny Toon Adventures and kept pushing her even though the writers really didn't care that much for her. Eventually they shoehorned her into Pinky & The Brain, and everybody hated it. I really have no idea what these execs could possibly be thinking.

He was always the comedy relief, but S2 just took it to a cringe-worthy extreme. He became a parody of himself, even making fun of his own French.

Some people can't just say "looks good, keep going", they must change something to feel like they've left their mark.
