I'm currently experimenting with an upscaling of some Sonic Satam frames. Since at the moment there is still no actual Blu Ray release of a cartoon, I decided that it’s better to make the HD version of the animated series (or at least some frames from it) by myself. Some results impressed me a lot, the upscaling of these frames turned out much better than I expected and I dare to say, that these upscaled frames look like they were scanned directly from 35mm negative. I hope you will like what I did.
All frames were upscaled in Topaz A.I. Gigapixel programm:
Original frame
4x times scaled frame
Original frame
4x times scaled frame
Original frame
4x times scaled frame
Unfortunately, Topaz A. I. Gigapixel is very limited in its functionality. Unlike the Waifu2ix program, you will not be able to upscale several pictures at once or at least to place a folder with speciffic images in Topaz Gigapixel. I hope that the developers will release an update which will solve this issue.
If you wanna see more, you can download my complete archive of upscaled frames:

You can definetly see it in the colors and the lining.
Good work

Wulfsbane, thank you! I'm also impressed with Topaz Gigapixel's upscaling. The only thing we have to wait for is the possibility of upscaling several frames at once instead of only one image at a time. I personally would like the developers to create a video plugin based on this program, but this is just my dream :}
