@  Ishapar : (27 December 2020 - 04:00 PM)

I didn't have the heat on at my place, and I was trying to boot my system when I smelled a burnt odor from the hard drive. Just recently picked up a used one.

Furrykef, if it's any consolation, I just recently burnt my hard drive to a crisp.

Merpy Holimas ya roustabouts!

@  furrykef : (11 December 2020 - 10:23 AM)

Welp. I'm finally attempting to copy files from my old hard drive -- the one that got fried -- to my new one, and things aren't looking good at all.

@  furrykef : (05 December 2020 - 04:19 PM)

The graphics card is taken from my old machine and is currently giving me a hell of a lot of trouble because I'm trying to get Vulkan support in Linux...

@  furrykef : (05 December 2020 - 04:18 PM)

This, except I haven't bought an optical drive or UPS yet: https://pcpartpicker...ef/saved/vsyQqs

@  Nex : (05 December 2020 - 03:17 AM)

What kind of beast did you put together for yourself then Kef?

@  furrykef : (04 December 2020 - 07:41 AM)

Woo! I'm on my new machine.

@  furrykef : (02 December 2020 - 04:04 PM)

Now that all the parts have arrived, I'm not in any mood to actually build the PC.

@  furrykef : (30 November 2020 - 09:25 AM)

Welp. The good news is my RAM arrived today. The bad news is I'd misread the package tracking, so my mobo and fan are coming late.

@  furrykef : (30 November 2020 - 02:25 AM)

Groan. All my parts are supposed to get here today, except my RAM shipped late, so it will get here Wednesday. And there's no DDR4 RAM anywhere else in the house.

All this chat about failing hardware reminds me that I gotta update my GPU n SSD this year. Who'dve thought an M.2 boot drive could get filled entirely by sodding Windows updates >.<

@  tiff15 : (21 November 2020 - 12:28 PM)

computer fans are starting to wonk out, so Im using a laptop for now...Hi all!

@  furrykef : (18 November 2020 - 05:56 AM)

The bad news is my hard drive is busted. So I'm currently on a Linux Mint Live CD. Ain't that fun?

@  furrykef : (18 November 2020 - 05:56 AM)

Whew! I'm finally on my PC after three weeks of not being able to use it.

Hi again.

I just wanted to share with you that there is an archive of conversations about the show that took place on the internet as far back as 1993, when the show was on. The link is below.

This is mostly about the show's 1st season, which has had some info that's been hard to come by....but it has yielded some positive information about when episodes have aired.

According to the posts within that link, here is how the episode airing order, in terms of 1st airings, has shaken out so far. All dates are within 1993.

1-Super Sonic-Sept. 18

2-Sonic Boom-Sept. 25

3-Sonic & Sally-Oct. 2

No official accounting for the dates of Oct. 9-23.

7-Warp Sonic-Oct. 30

8-Harmonic Sonic-Nov. 6

9-Sonic & The Secret Scrolls-Nov. 13

10-Sub-Sonic-Nov. 20

11-Heads or Tails-Nov. 27

No official accounting for the dates of Dec. 4 & 11

This means that the 5 episodes that are still outstanding when trying to find their 1st airdates are....

Hooked On Sonics

Sonic's Nightmare

Sonic Past Cool

Sonic Racer

Ultra Sonic

Also, within the threads, someone named Charles Lochel actually quoted the phrase of 'Sonic the Hedgehog Sat AM' WAY back on Nov. 24, 1993! That pretty well means this show has had the Sonic SatAM fan name SINCE THE 1ST SEASON!!!! O.O

If there's any more updates about this, I'll let you know, or maybe you'll beat me to it, and fill in the last 5 gaps.

Hi again, guys.

I found another link at Google Groups, located below.

It was compiled by Dan Drazen 25 years ago, and in it, it lists where the last 5 episodes of Season 1, that I've not yet updated here, were broadcast for the 1st time on ABC.

Judging from what I had listed above, I feel safe in calling the ABC original airdates for all the episodes of the Sonic SatAM a complete broadcast order, and here it is below.

Season 1

1-Super Sonic was aired as the Season 1 and Series Premiere on Sept. 18, 1993.

2-Sonic Boom was aired on Sept. 25, 1993.

3-Sonic & Sally was aired on Oct. 2, 1993.

4-Hooked on Sonics was aired on Oct. 9, 1993.

5-Ultra Sonic was aired on Oct. 16, 1993.

6-Sonic's Nightmare was aired on Oct. 23, 1993(the day the Toronto Blue Jays won their 2nd MLB World Series Championship in dramatic fashion).

7-Warp Sonic was aired on Oct. 30, 1993.

8-Harmonic Sonic was aired on Nov. 6, 1993.

9-Sonic & The Secret Scrolls was aired on Nov. 13, 1993.

10-Sub-Sonic was aired on Nov. 20, 1993.

11-Heads or Tails was aired on Nov. 27, 1993.

12-Sonic Past Cool was aired on Dec. 4, 1993.

13-Sonic Racer was aired as the Season 1 Finale on Dec. 11, 1993.

Season 2

1-Game Guy was aired as the Season 2 Premiere on Sept. 10, 1994.

2-Sonic Conversion was aired on Sept. 17, 1994.

3-No Brainer was aired on Sept. 24, 1994.

4-Blast To The Past(Part I) was aired on Oct. 1, 1994.

5-Blast To The Past(Part II) was aired on Oct. 8, 1994.

6-Fed Up With Antoine/Ghost Busted was aired on Oct. 15, 1994.

7-Dulcy was aired on Oct. 22, 1994.

8-The Void was aired on Oct. 29, 1994.

9-The Odd Couple/Ro-Becca was aired on Nov. 5, 1994.

10-Cry Of The Wolf was aired on Nov. 12, 1994.

11-Drood Henge was aired on Nov. 19, 1994.

12- Spyhog was aired on Nov. 26, 1994.

13-The Doomsday Project was aired as the Season 2 and Series Finale on Dec. 3, 1994.

So, yeah, it looks like the episode airings order list is now, after over 25 years, full, correct, and complete.
