@  Nex : (25 April 2020 - 06:58 PM)

It's a disagreement between two people...n judging what goes on in there sometimes that's a very apt description xD

@  John Roberts : (25 April 2020 - 05:34 PM)

What's a Discord?

@  Nex : (25 April 2020 - 04:15 PM)

Activity is spread across forum, discord 'n the site chat room. There's life, it's just hiding under different rocks :D

@  RedAuthar : (25 April 2020 - 04:13 PM)

@  wildfire : (19 April 2020 - 09:01 AM)

To be fair, there are more rapid forms of communication these days. The Discord server sees a far bit of attention. I remember the IRC too, but that's dead last I looked

@  MauEvig : (18 April 2020 - 08:10 PM)

A shame. And here I'm finally getting back into the spirit of everything Sonic. Well maybe we just need to liven things up. :)

@  furrykef : (18 April 2020 - 06:38 PM)

The forum's pretty dead at the best of times, really.

@  MauEvig : (18 April 2020 - 08:36 AM)

@  wildfire : (15 April 2020 - 10:46 AM)

Is it just me? Or does every thread I post in die a quick and terrible death?

I see it sparked controversy and all that stuff.

There's nothing wrong with interspecies romances in media! see Roger and Jessica Rabbit, Marvel comic's Howard the Duck and Beverly Switzler (interdimensional duck person and human woman), Vastra and Jenny on Doctor Who, Alien Nation especially Cathy and Matt, Marvel's Hepzibah/Corsair (alien furry skunk cat-woman and human space pirate who is Cyclop's dad) Catherine and Vincent in the 1980s Beauty and the Beast TV show with Linda Hamilton/Ron Perlman, Star Trek/Wars alien beings of different races/species with different ones even with human beings, Babylon 5, Farscape, Regular Show which has Eillen/Rigby (mole person and raccoon person) plus Mordecai with a sentient cloud girl plus Margaret's parents being a human male and one a humanoid anthro bird woman, Lilandra and Professor Xavier (mutant man and alien bird woman), InuYasha and Kagome, Hana and the wolfman in Wolf Children, Eliza and Goliath, Bojack Horseman which has plenty of it like Bojack with an owl anthro woman to Kyle/Charolette (human male married to anthro humanoid deer woman and both produced kids), Mass Effect and so much more as they are all proof.

But in the games of Sonic, i think he's better off without any girlfriend.

Honestly, I never had a problem with the scene. I think it could have been made better, by making the romance between them feel less like friends, but that's the only issue I have. I just never felt they were a romantic couple.

I agree, but you have no problem with interspecies romance in media like the ones i mentioned? take for example i'm gonna write a story where Julie Bruin from Tiny Toon Adventures has a romantic affair with a human man, both go on dates and get married then produce 2 kids. Both are sapient mammals and consenting adults. I see no problem with that.

Depends on the universe's lore. If that universe doesn't have a problem with it, why should I?

Human and Anthro pairings don't bother me at all, I just wasn't crazy about Sonic with Elsie personally. But I'm sorta biased as a "Sonaze" (Sonic and Blaze) fan myself.

The OP has a point, there's been plenty of human pairings with other well, otherkin in the past. I've seen some pretty bizarre ones. And people flip over Sonic being with one? His original girlfriend was human, but Sega of America ditched the idea saying it was "too Japanese." (I'll have to find the resource for that one.) Then you have Sarah from the ova animation. Sure she's dressed like a cat but it's more or less a costume.

As long as both parties are sentient and consenting it doesn't bother me, or at the very least the same level of sentience a human would have.
