Because they tried hard. But they got caught with budget and don't understand the tropes. I just hope the "ololol Forces sux green eyes" memelords didn't kill this one in the egg

@  Sunnyfruit : (23 July 2019 - 02:14 AM)

Buuuuuut I have to admit I'm really intrigued by what they tried to do with Forces, I don't know if it's a new direction or a low-budget cookie thrown to western fans "so they shut up".

@  Sunnyfruit : (23 July 2019 - 02:13 AM)

But of course they would get anime'd to oblivion.

@  Sunnyfruit : (23 July 2019 - 02:12 AM)

He trying hard to push the "meme" direction since 2009, Sonic 4 and the Pontaff writing. IMHO the only way we could get decent FFs is if they get popular among the Japanese crowd and if Sonic became popular with that crowd to begin with.

@  Sunnyfruit : (23 July 2019 - 02:10 AM)

It seems like "Mania Sonic" is what Iizuka thinks western Sonic fans want.

@  Wulfsbane : (22 July 2019 - 10:29 PM)

Well, Iisuka-san is getting the chance to make the NiGHTS game he wanted to make for a long time. Might be good for him to do something else for a spell

@  GamemasterAn... : (22 July 2019 - 07:45 AM)

Or, if we want to go a more direct route, show them all the times that corporate interference in story writing actually made things worse. Examples include many of Hasbro's mess-ups including killing Optimus Prime (the face of the franchise), the mess with Derpy and not knowing what the word "derp" actually meant, and the "Fame and Misfortune" episode debacle.

@  Wulfsbane : (21 July 2019 - 10:06 PM)

"Do or Do Not... There is no try."

@  Wulfsbane : (21 July 2019 - 10:06 PM)

Oh no, I totally agree that trying to do something may help a bit. It would show that interest is still there after all these years. Hell, Mighty and Ray made a return.

@  Shadow : (21 July 2019 - 06:33 PM)

Better to try than do nothing.

@  Shadow : (21 July 2019 - 06:33 PM)

He personally may not like them, but if their were some form of collab effort to gather hand written letters, artwork, and products from all over as a yearly effort to get his attention things might move.

@  Wulfsbane : (21 July 2019 - 03:24 PM)

I would imagine the best way would be to go through Aaron, who is a SatAM fan, but there might not be much he can do

@  Wulfsbane : (21 July 2019 - 03:23 PM)

And I'm pretty sure he doesn't like the FF

@  Wulfsbane : (21 July 2019 - 03:23 PM)

The only one that seems friendly to the US fans is Iizuka-san

@  Shadow : (20 July 2019 - 02:32 AM)

It would also mean a great investment to capitalize on a untapped western market of american characters for american fans...that is, if SoJ would ever allow it.

@  Shadow : (20 July 2019 - 01:00 AM)

Because the Archie comics kept the SatAM cast current for so many years their are many fans that would be more than willing to pay good money for seeing them in some official capacity. If only their were a way to find out who to talk to and how to reach them.

@  Shadow : (20 July 2019 - 12:59 AM)

I been thinking. Who is the most key essential person in Sonic Team who is friendly to US fans? Whoever he is would be the key essential person to find and target to bring attention to our fanbase and that their is a market for it.

@  Wulfsbane : (19 July 2019 - 10:52 PM)

Pat does theater work in LA from time to time. She's mostly retired.

@  Shadow : (19 July 2019 - 12:02 PM)

Would a 4K transfer blu ray be possible to produce?

@  Quickster : (19 July 2019 - 12:20 AM)

Unless we were able to somehow contact Pat Allee.

I could never get into Robotech stuff. Also I'm kinda at a loss of shows for this winter season.

Chaos;Child should be good. But besides that...hmmm

The new Attack on Titan should be awesome....As far as SAO...Eh...I really did like the first season..BUT the second season was just meh.  I might have already said that at one point or another in here...

Far as this current season is going...Ive actually been slightly disappointed.  The Winter season is almost over any..Nothing has really stood out for me.  Ive kept watching a few.  But nothing that has be on the edge of my seat waiting for next weeks episode.   Even shows like the second season of Ao no Exorcist.  Loved the first season.  This season is good...  But just that.

I hope Netflix intends to release more than 4 episodes of Seven Deadly Sins. Are they staggering them out? Hope the SAO movie is good, I enjoyed the series even though Kirito is clearly hax.

Moar AoT! Looking forward to it and tired of waiting.

I'd like to see that one too.  I'll probably end up buying the DVD since I did that for the previous Yu-Gi-Oh movies.

I hear in an upcoming episode of DB Super Frieza will be wished back to life for 24 hours to participate in the multiverse tournament. Stoked to see my favorite villain back. He was treated very poorly in Revival of F.

Due to air this fail is a remake of the 1993 tokusaku series Gridman which will be titled Super Human Samurai Syber Squad: Gridman. The title is a tribute to Dic's superhuman samurai syber squad that used footage from gridman.

I'd have to say the top one I'm watching right now is Darling in the Franxx. And I'm actually watching for the plot. Not the random echi stuff they toss in. I thought it'd be a stupid show with that but...damn. it's quite good.

(Bumping, sorry xD)

I'm with Chief here. I started on Darling in the Franxx about a week and a half ago and loving it as well, already caught up. Agreed I thought this was gonna be some ridiculous raunchy anime with how the boy/girl set ups looked inside the Franxx suits, but man I was wrong. This definitely has me hooked. Other than that the Persona 5 anime dropped this past weekend and keeping up with that.

How is it so far? I haven't had a chance to see any of it yet & I really liked the game.

I'm enjoying it so far. Followed the game frame by frame just about aside from a slight change with the casino in the opening(saw a few complaints about it from comments but I didn't mind it at all, and really minor at that.) I also really liked the way they showed how Ryuji and MC got Kamoshida's palace to appear for the first time in the Metaverse. I would say to anyone who hasn't played 5 or familiar with Persona in general then everything may seem sort of fast paced.

I never got into Persona.   Though I never really gave it a fare shot either.     One current show that just started that I am already into is Steins Gate 0.   I was a big fan of the first so...although only one ep in its good.

As for Darling in the franxx...We are finally getting some good backstory.  And damn.  If you watched this past Saturdays episode I feel bad for both Zero Two and Hiro.   I mean.. Ichigo has reasons to what she did obviously.  But everything seems to be working against them.

On another note with that...Im hoping to find out more about who the hell Papa is and how their civilization actually works.    I mean you have some...Lets say "normalish" people.   Then you have Those who live in the city.  And...Yea.

To be fair, Persona's okay as an anime but the games are where it's at. The ones I've played(3,4,5) have all been incredibly addicting because of its social simulators and dungeon grinding. You can't really transition those aspects into the anime so they have to base it on the main stories alone, which isn't bad but at the same time none of the anime series' will be groundbreaking or anything. They're mainly a treat for people who have played the games IMO. The OSTs are pretty savage though.

And yeah I saw this past Saturday's episode of Franxx and man.. It is getting crazy xD I feel bad for Hiro and 02 as well, and as much as I like their dynamic together, I can't help but feel Hiro and Ichigo are really compatible as well. Definitely interested to see how Hiro responds to how that last episode ended haha. Also agreed on that last part, definitely hoping they delve a little more into the nature of their civilization and such. The City of Eternity episode was really intriguing regarding that, hoping we get similar ones like that soon.

As for Stein's Gate, haven't started on that series at all but it's sitting at a 9+ rating on MyAnimeList so it's got my attention for a future viewing. Also read a bit about it and with the time travel aspect I'm really interested in checking it out soon.

I feel like last nights episode of Frankxx was a direct response to the Ichigo hate haha. It's like they knew exactly how the fans would react to last week's episode before this anime even aired.

Was there a new one? On the episode list of the site I watch it on had the latest episode listed as "15.5" instead of just 16, so I figured it was a recap filler haha

Right on. Sounds like that would be something I'd be down to watch when it's all said and done. Skipped for now since I've been trying to hurry up and finish Hunter x Hunter on the side as well.
