@  Wulfsbane : (09 September 2019 - 10:12 AM)

We'll probably see Tracer soon

@  Shadow : (06 September 2019 - 10:48 PM)

I'd rather see Mai in Smash

@  Wulfsbane : (06 September 2019 - 09:05 AM)

I'm more surprised about the Fatal Fury character.

@  Wulfsbane : (06 September 2019 - 08:00 AM)

Really wasn't keen on the idea of Sans being playable, but I guess he's in the same vein as Ness/Lucas

@  Wulfsbane : (06 September 2019 - 08:00 AM)

I think it works.

@  GamemasterAn... : (05 September 2019 - 06:53 AM)

So...Sans is a Mii Gunner costume for Smash. Comments?

@  Wulfsbane : (31 August 2019 - 08:00 PM)

Alright, AEW's All Out was pretty freaking good.

@  Wulfsbane : (20 August 2019 - 06:22 AM)

The Knux will Layeth the Smacketh Down all over your Candy Ass!

@  GamemasterAn... : (20 August 2019 - 05:59 AM)

"Finally, the Knux...HAS COME BACK...to Angel Island!"

@  Wulfsbane : (19 August 2019 - 07:26 PM)

Strangely I can see it.

@  Shadow : (18 August 2019 - 10:39 PM)

Imagine Dwayne Johnson voicing Knuckles...

@  Wulfsbane : (17 August 2019 - 02:31 PM)

The Rock has come back? XP

@  chief : (17 August 2019 - 02:26 PM)

http://www.sonicsatam.com/sea3on/ finally...

@  Wulfsbane : (17 August 2019 - 07:40 AM)

Good to hear.

@  chief : (13 August 2019 - 07:27 PM)

We are in talk with background artists actually...

@  Shadow : (13 August 2019 - 12:54 AM)

some traditional cel painted backgrounds would be lovely.

@  Shadow : (13 August 2019 - 12:54 AM)

Is their any plans on what might be added if the budget reaches a certain quota?

@  wildfire : (13 August 2019 - 12:05 AM)

Just saw the preview for Sea3son animated. It looks awesome! Voices are great. I only wish I had money to support.

@  wildfire : (12 August 2019 - 11:30 PM)

Glad to see this place is still bustling. I went through my old comics last night, made me think of you all. I miss this place sometimes.

@  Ishapar : (12 August 2019 - 10:39 AM)

Thank god, I thought they would look like total ass in CGI.

So far it looks good. I am glad because "Peanuts" is the first of my favorite cartoons and I would want it to be done welll. I am sure Szultz's family made sure of that.

I worry greatly about this movie.

No offense, I'd love to see it, but I just don't know if the comics ever had something really movie worthy.  Most of their direct to tv/video movies even contained lots of scenes from the show.

Well this I something that you can't fuck up without earning total humiliation. They should know that they can't screw this movie up with out being disowned by the human race.

After all, Schulz's family is most likely VERY involved, and Peanuts has worked with movies in the past. (Snoopy Come Home anyone?)

Every Peanuts Movie has mostly been a collection of shorts.  Which is fine for a direct to video but won't go well in the theaters, so they're going to have to come up with an original story.  The problem with doing that is with the millions of fans it's like walking on cracked glass, you'll either make it okay or fail in a million possible ways.

While each movie does have short segments, they still have a cohesive story that takes up the main focus. (Charlie Brown's spelling bee, Snoopy's first owner, the raft race, the trip to France).

I'm sure it'll be okay as long as they understand the characters well enough to make them work well in different situations.

Just to inform you The Snoopy's first owner and Spelling Bee story arcs were right out of the comic strips.  They weren't original stories in any such way.

I dunno about the raft race.

I'm well aware. Most of the gags and stories in the specials were from the comics.

The raft race and France, however, were original.

I got it for like...five bucks.

And even then other than the main plot that one was a collection of shorts thrown together.  So as I've said before if they do it well it will be great, however I just don't see something movie quality in their shorts, and I fear they won't make a good original story.

I was about to mention the play "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown", but then I remembered it had Snoopy dancing and singing (in English), so never mind.

It's supposed to be his thoughts, like the comic.

Animated Peanuts never does that stuff, though. It'd be as if adults ever said anything other than "wah waaah wah wah waaaah waahhhh".

Have you watched the specials? The adults talk, hell, THEY SHOW UP IN PERSON more often then they say "Wa wa wa."

And I bet everybody prefers to forget those.

And in my head canon, the Little Red-Haired Girl is still unseen and Charlie Brown most certainly didn't kiss her.

There's a reason people consider the specials non-canon.

Part of me sorta wishes for a crossover between "Peanuts" and "Calvin and Hobbes". Both are very similar in overall tone and atmosphere, but focused on different perspectives in life. Still, I would give anything to see what Snoopy and Hobbes would chat about during their afternoon snoozes.

Speaking of "Peanuts", my grandfather had the honor of being the English teacher to Shultz's children at their elementary school. Nothing too special; just thought I'd mention it. I can't remember which grade he taught in though... I should probably ask him again.
