Did you know: Sonic X started production around the Release of the OVA? Originally X was going to be the same world but after a long developement period they made it its own universe.

Isn't that where the OVA movie came from, a failed 2-parted pilot which turned into the movie

And there were supposed to be other Mobians in X as well...

Technically there still are other mobians:

And let's not forget the famed "Nazo" character from this as well:

But I get what you're saying (no humans like Chris Thorndyke (only Eggman))

I wonder if these old scripts or treatments leak online someday.

Before the announcement of Sony's Sonic movie, there were earlier attempts at producing a cinematic feature film for Sega's blue hedgehog like MGM's movie project, Hurst's SatAM movie project, Penders' Archieverse movie project and maybe even some other attempts. It would be interesting to find more informations about these cancelled theatrical productions. I think it would be cool if somebody could find stuff like scripts, treatments, concept art and more. What do you know? What do you think?

One one hand, I'm kinda glad this wasn't made due to how cringe-worthily dated the whole idea sounds. It probably would've tanked the Sonic franchise's reputation harder than 06 did.

But on the other hand, it sounds like one of those so-bad-it's-good types of movies from the decade that I kinda want to watch.

Though it does raise a few questions. Like, what exactly does the plot revolving around the test pilot have anything to do with the rest of the movie? Where were the rest of Sonic's friends in this story? Why was an abandoned theme park given the name "Ramshackle Amusement Park" to begin with? Was Sonic Team seriously considering another villain for the series? And was this pitch the inspiration for both "Sonic Live" and "Sonic X"?

Man, the 90s were weird.

Still a great decade for cartoons. (sees a list of cartoons containing Cow and Chicken, the Ren and Stimpy Show, and I Am Weasel) Although, there were some exceptions.

Early 90s were just the 80s, and late 90s is just 2000s. The cartoons were all weird
